Activated carbon pellets for air filters help improve indoor air quality by removing harmful fumes, vapors, VOCs, and odors. There are many use cases for activated carbon filtration, including painting, coating, touch-up, gluing, and solvent application to name a few. Activated carbon filters are also used in our mail screening equipment to protect operators from harmful fumes emanating from potentially harmful packages.
Activated carbon can absorb up to one third of its weight in vapor before requiring replacement depending on the substance being absorbed. Our heavy-duty RSE modules are designed to be refilled as opposed to replaced like some other carbon filters. To determine your required refill frequency, fill your RSE module with fresh carbon pellets and weigh it. You should properly dispose and refill your RSE module once its weight exceeds the original weight by approximately 33% (if your RSE weighs 60 lbs. with fresh carbon, dump and refill once it reaches 80 lbs.).
