PROBLEM: An aircraft engine manufacturer has multiple deburring stations where workers smooth out the
rough edges of finished engine parts and perform minor welding when necessary. They were “controlling” airborne steel dust and welding smoke using large
shop fans. These fans were blowing dust and smoke away from the operator however resulted in large amounts of particulate being inhaled by workers in
adjacent work zones and surrounding plant environment. Worker complaints were high however the customer wanted to avoid having to vent the deburring
stations outdoors – something that would require a large capital investment, increase operational costs to their HVAC system, and limit shop layout
flexibility since the units would need to be stationary.
SOLUTION: DualDraw consulted on-site with the customer and helped solve the issue through the
application of our self-contained Walk-In Clean Air Workstations. The customer had specific needs for their 10’x8’x8’ booth, which conveniently fit the
footprint of their deburring stations. DualDraw customized the unit to their needs including the installation of an overhead crane chain slot, a clean
out chute in the rear of the unit, a front door regain air system, and two (2) additional motor/blower systems for enhanced face velocity.

PROBLEM: Mailroom safety is a legitimate concern for many commercial and
government customers. The Department of Defense takes mail handling especially serious and contacted DualDraw to protect their employees from airborne
biohazards. There are many Department of Defensed installations scattered across the United States. They range from large bases near major cities to
small offices in geographically remote locations. Thus, they needed our equipment in various sizes to meet the requirements in the different working
environments.
SOLUTION: DualDraw’s Mailroom Inspection Workstations have been procured by the Department of Defense to help address their mailroom
safety and security concerns. Our units are designed to trap dangerous biohazards in a certified HEPA filter and will not operate unless the filtering
is working properly. The filters in these units are independently certified and manufactured to trap particles smaller than the size of biohazards such
as Anthrax and Ricin. The workstations have made Department of Defense mailrooms safer and have also mitigated costly work stoppages caused by hoaxes.

PROBLEM: Penn DOT had particular process requirements
for their soil sampling area. They wanted to ensure air safety of their workers while maintaining a complete and efficient work area. Previous to calling
DualDraw, the soil sampling process was emitting many dust particles into the air that were consequently inhaled by their workers. Therefore, to protect their
workers they had to spread out their process causing process inefficiencies and slow-down.
SOLUTION: DualDraw customized one of our booth designs to fit Penn DOT’s needs. The “Dirt Booth” consisted of shelving for various sampling tools and a trap
door to help contain dust emitted from the dirt wheelbarrow. Under the trap door, the sides of the unit were perforated to enhance the downdraft ability of the
unit to remove the dirt dust.

PROBLEM: Fabricating cabinets make a big mess and causes breathing
zone discomfort if not correctly contained. A large kitchen cabinet manufacturer contacted DualDraw with some specific air quality needs. They had an assembly
line where workers would perform various processes on cabinets – processes that create noxious fumes and harmful dust. They needed a self-contained filter
solution that would allow workers to seamlessly continue production while filtering the air surrounding their breathing zones.
SOLUTION: After consulting with the customer to define their needs, DualDraw built a custom unit that came complete with a variable speed conveyor belt combined
with downdraft capability. The resulting product has been in production since installation and has had very favorable results.

PROBLEM: Dealing with certain toxic chemicals in a sanitary environment
typically requires special equipment designed to comply with specific plant standards to ensure worker safety. OSHA regulatory concerns brought this issue to the
forefront for this drug company and they decided at that point to contact DualDraw to help them meet their tough air quality requirements.
SOLUTION: DualDraw built a customized downdraft unit using stainless steel for easy cleaning and sanitary purposes. It also contained hazardous duty fixtures to ensure safety
when working in a potentially volatile environment. The unit came with a cleanout pan and petcock for easy removal of toxic substances that may drip through the table surface.
